The legendary Glenn Miller was one of the most successful of all the dance bandleaders back in the Swing era of the 30’s and ‘40’s. Today the orchestra, under the direction of Larry O’Brien, continues to play the original Miller arrangements along with modern selections that lend themselves naturally to the Miller style and sound. Vicki Lawrence is one of the most beloved television personalities of her generation. At the ripe old age of 24, Vicki created her most endearing character to date, Thelma Harper, or "Mama" as she is better known to her fans. After the unprecedented ratings of the "Carol Burnett Showstopper Special", Vicki felt this was the right time to take Mama out of the closet, dust off her sensible shoes and hit the road with her new touring production. This show is a mixture of stand-up comedy, music and observations about real life. One redhead plus one gray-haired old woman equals two funny women. THE OZARK JUBILEE - DIRECT FROM BRANSON (DHA0887) ~ Available Wednesday, September 17, in Cleveland. The Jubilee features Branson’s funniest comedian and world class fiddler, Doofus Doolittle. He will have you rolling in the aisles with his unique style of "Hillbilly Humor". The featured male vocalist is Eddie Bolton who will sing tunes from the Righteous Brothers, Ronnie Milsap and a powerful heart felt gospel. The featured female singer Tracy Biggs will perform song stylings from Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and many others. The Ozark Jubilee band consists of some of the best musicians in the business today producing quality of music second to none. This is a can’t miss show! FRANKIE AVALON (DHA0888) ~ Available Thursday, October 23, in Cleveland. Frankie Avalon began his career on "American Bandstand" in 1957. Over a two year period, Avalon had seven songs in the Top Ten. "Venus" was Avalon’s biggest hit selling more than a million copies in the spring of 1959. Three more million sellers in a row, "Bobby Sox To Stockings," "Just Ask Your Heart," and "Why" followed. In the early sixties there was a nationwide surfing craze and Hollywood did a number of movies on the subject. Avalon, with Annette Funicello, were leading stars in these movies including "Beach Party," "Muscle Beach," and "Beach Blanket Bingo." Package includes transportation and tickets to the dinner show.

ENCHANTED CABARET LUNCHEON SHOWS ~ Enchanted Cabaret combines songs from your favorite shows as well as traditional standards to create a unique performance with cleverly written scripts and live music. This touring troupe has performed throughout the Northeast. The luncheon show takes place in the Sandusky area. The schedule is as follows:

    • Journeys – "A Valentines Story" – Available February 11-15 ~ Fall in love all over again with love songs from your favorite Broadway shows.

    • Love, Loss and Everything in Between – Available May 11 – 18 and July 16 – 19 ~ Take a journey with Madame Zoe, an early 1900’s French Madame as she tells her story and gives advice on love, loss and everything in between.

    • A Cabaret Christmas – Available November 17 – 22 and December 1 – 6 ~ Learn the true spirit of the holidays with Mrs. Claus as she leaves the North Pole to help a group of kids understand the magic of the holidays and gives the insight to what life with Santa is really like.

CAROUSEL DINNER THEATRE (DCD0801) - ~ Celebrate 32 years of Carousel magic in Akron, Ohio. This matinee package features a sit-down luncheon complete with dessert and tickets to the show (see schedule below). Deposits to Carousel Dinner Theatre are due one month after making reservations and are firm only when deposit is received. Per the Carousel policy, if you have to cancel, 75% of the deposit can be transferred to a future Carousel tour. Once confirmed, Carousel does have a minimum number of tickets that are "guaranteed" by group. The 2008 schedule is The Odd Couple (January 9 - February 23), The King and I (February 27- April 26), Damn Yankees (April 30 - June 28), Viaggio (July 2 - August 23), The Wizard of Oz (August 27 - November 1), and All Shook Up (November 5 - January 3, 2009).

STATION DINNER THEATRE (DET0801) - Located in Erie, Pennsylvania, the Station Dinner Theatre has a variety of weekday luncheon matinee shows throughout the year. For gamers, you can go to the new Presque Isle Downs & Casino before a 4:00 PM show.

    • Nunsense: The Mega Musical (February 5 or 6 at 4:00 PM) – Those Little Sisters of Hoboken are up to their zany antics again.

    • Dick Clarkson's Jukebox Hop (April 15 or 22 at noon / April 16 or 23 at 4:00 PM) – This jumpin' musical features your favorite songs from the 50's so dig out your saddle shoes and poodle skirts.

    • The Great American Western Melodrama Musical Comedy (May 20 or June 3 at noon / May 21 or June 4 at 4:00 PM) – The Snake-Eye Sam Saloon Players take you back to the year 1875 where you can cheer the hero and boo the villain.

    • The Odd Couple (June 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 or 25 at noon / June 12 or 19 at 4:00 PM) – Enjoy the hilarious comedy by Neil Simon about two bachelors living together and the unexpected results. (S-D on June 11)

    • Honky Tonk Highway (July 15 or 29 at noon / July 16 or 30 at 4:00 PM) – If you were a fan of "Always: Patsy Cline", then you will love this toe-tappin' musical about country western singer, Clint Colby. (S-D on July 15)

    • Broadway Melody Hour (August 12, 19 or 26 at noon / August 13, 20 or 27 at 4:00 PM) – Join your host, Sammy "Pretty Boy" Bambino, at his speakeasy in Chicago for a live radio broadcast of silent film star, Ruby Devine's singing debut.

    • I Left My Heart (September 16, 30, October 14, 28 or November 11 at noon / September 17, October 1, 15, 29 or November 12 at 4:00 PM) – The smash hit musical to the fabulous songs of Tony Bennett.

BERMUDA AVENUE TRIANGLE at the Riverside Dinner Theatre (DET0821) Selected Matinee Dates ~ This comedy tells the tale of two widows, set up in a Las Vegas retirement condo by their well-meaning daughters. Despite the "marvelous" decor and the view of Wayne Newton's mother's house, the ladies begin to think that life has passed them by. Then they both meet and fall in love with Johnny. He's the perfect man . . . loves to cook . . . speaks Italian . . . loves to go dancing . . . and sings opera. But there's one problem, he's a swindler. Through it all, the women realize one important lesson: "You're never too old to do what you think you're too old to do!" MY WAY - A MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO FRANK SINATRA at the Riverside Dinner Theatre (DET0822) Selected Matinee Dates ~A fitting tribute to the music that still lives in the hearts and minds of millions. My Way is not a Sinatra impersonation, but a tribute to the musical legacy this legendary performer left behind. Packed with fifty-nine songs, the cast recalls quotes from Sinatra and memories other musicians had of the man. Whether you're a Sinatra fan or you just love good music, My Way will have you humming a tune all the way home. This tour is available on July 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 22, 23 and 24. YOU'RE INVITED TO THE . . . PERFECT WEDDING at the Riverside Dinner Theatre (DET0823) Selected Matinee Dates ~ The morning after his stag party, Bill wakes up in a hotel room with a strange woman in his bed. He doesn't know how she got there, can't remember what they've done, and doesn't know her name . . . but she seems to like him. He needs to sort things out fast because his wedding is only hours away, his best man is knocking on his door and not far behind is his future wife. The girl, now hiding in the bathroom, will have to pass herself off as the maid (which might have worked if the actual maid hadn't appeared). The best man is persuaded to say she is his girlfriend, but he gets confused and introduces the real maid as his date instead. By the time the mother of the bride and the best man's actual girlfriend arrive, chaos reigns. This tour is available on August 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20. JACK BENNY "LAUGHTER IN BLOOM" at the Riverside Dinner Theatre (DET0824) Selected Matinee Dates ~ Broadway star Eddie Carroll's one-man show goes beyond mere imitation of Benny's familiar catch phrases and mannerisms. It's a captivating day of theater that has Jack Benny himself leading us on a fascinating tour of his rich and colorful life and illustrious career that spanned six decades. Learn of Benny's childhood, his personal struggles and eventual success in Vaudeville, radio and television. He also shares insights into his personal life and hilarious anecdotes of other stars that fill the theatre with warmth, great memories and wall-to-wall laughter. FOREVER PLAID - PLAID TIDINGS at the Riverside Dinner Theatre (DET0825C) Selected Matinee Dates ~ This show offers the best of The Plaids tied-up with a big Christmas bow on top! Filled with Christmas standards that have all been "Plaid-erized," our boys are back to do their Christmas TV Special. At first, they aren't sure why they've returned, but a phone call from the heavenly Rosemary Clooney lets them know that they're needed to put a little harmony into a discordant world. Sprinkled among the Christmas offerings are audience favorites like their riotous three minute and eleven second version of "The Ed Sullivan Show" - this time featuring the Rockettes and much more.
