| CANADIAN SHOW TOURS The Shaw Festival has three distinct theatres located in downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. The Festival Theatre is the "flagship theatre" where the large-scale productions are presented. The Court House Theatre is a national historic site dating back to the 1840's and is where the Shaw Festival began in 1962. The Royal George Theatre was built as a vaudeville house to entertain the troops during World War I. Please call for the 2008 shows which were not available at press time. A typical package is two or three days in length and features rooms in Niagara-on-the-Lake or Niagara Falls, luncheon (s) and dinner (s) at one or more of the upscale Niagara-on-the-Lake restaurants, tickets to one, two or three performances at the Shaw Festival (call for schedule and to select shows), time to explore the quaint town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and a stop in Niagara Falls. Package can be customized to include Niagara Fallsview Casino. (S-D Tour available August 2 - 3) Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Ian and David Mirvish will present the North American Premiere of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and David Ian smash-hit new London production of The Sound of Music at Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre beginning in September 2008. This timeless family classic touches the hearts of all ages and brims over with some of the most memorable songs ever performed on the musical stage including My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss, Climb Ev’ry Mountain, Sixteen Going On Seventeen, The Lonely Goatherd and, of course, the glorious title song The Sound of Music. Similar packages are available for other shows. Packages are for two or three days in length. The two-day package features rooms in Toronto or nearby Hamilton or Missasauga (to keep the package price down), dinner, show tickets, a stop at the Duty-Free Store and your choice of the following:
The three-day packages feature everything in the two-day package plus an additional night of rooms, additional dinner, professionally-guided tour of Toronto and time on your own in Toronto. We can also include a harbor cruise or Casa Loma.
