"IN THE BEGINNING" . . . "DANIEL" . . . "ABRAHAM & SARAH" . . . "MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS". . . "VOICES OF CHRISTMAS IN LANCASTER
Each year, Lancaster in Pennsylvania's Amish Country is home to big name productions . . . "Noah", "Ruth" and "In The Beginning", to name a few. "Noah" is coming to Branson in June of 2008 (see Page 8). The show schedule in 2008 is as follows: • In The Beginning (June 27 - October 27) - Be there as the Garden of Eden appears before you – the waters, vegetation and animals of the newly created world enveloping the Millennium Theatre! Experience God’s pleasure at his most awesome creation, Adam and Eve, and the complete beauty of their unbroken relationship with God. With special effects that surpass all you’ve previously seen on Sight & Sound stages, "In the Beginning" promises an experience beyond your imagination. Enhanced by magnificent staging, stirring musical compositions, and captivating live and animatronic animals, the stage will spring to life with the phenomenal story of creation. • Daniel (February 16 - May 17) - Experience Daniel's harrowing condemnation to the lions' den. Discover the fate of the Hebrews and their beloved Jerusalem. And, with Daniel, witness the fleeting nature of the kingdom of earth, and the enduring power of the kingdom of God. • Abraham & Sarah (May 22 - September 20) - They didn't always understand God's plan, but they came to understand that He does always keep his promises - in His time. Accompany Abraham and Sarah on their incredible journey, and learn anew the overwhelming power of faith. • Miracle of Christmas (November 22, 2008 to January 3, 2009) - Enter Mary and Joseph's world for a time and experience their amazement as the King of Kings is born as their son. • Voices of Christmas (November 1, 2008 to January 3, 2009) - This joyful celebration of Christmas is alive with all your favorite Carols, toe-tapping dances, live instruments, endearing animals, rich colorful costumes and thought-provoking stories that center around Christmas themes, past and present. In addition, we can combine (or substitute) these shows with a dinner-show at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre or the American Music Theatre. Lancaster has numerous attractions that can also be incorporated into your tour. Take your group on a "Behind the Scenes" tour of the Millennium Theatre, enjoy a guided-tour of the Amish Country, tour the QVC Shopping Network, tour a dairy farm and see cows being mechanically milked, visit the new Museum of Bus Transportation or take the animated ride through Hershey's Animated Chocolate World. No tour to Lancaster is complete without a family-style Amish Dinner . . . our specialty! Many of our tours include a luncheon at Hershey's Lodge. Most groups enjoy a two or three day tour to Lancaster with one or two shows. This tour can be expanded to include Baltimore or Philadelphia with Lancaster as a "Hub and Spoke" (just one check-in). Your Great Day! Tours Representative would be pleased to assist you in customizing your Lancaster experience. LANCASTER AND YORK FACTORY TOUR AND SHOW COMBINATION (DHT0806) ~ This tour features one of the Sight and Sound Theatre shows plus a show at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre with numerous factory tours. Visit the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Company to see these popular "American-built icons" being assembled. You'll be amazed at the Robotic Dairy Farm where we'll be seeing the fully-robotic milking facilities. These cows are so pampered that they sleep on waterbeds and have their own electric back scratcher that they turn on themselves. We will also be stopping at Pfaltzgraff Outlet Store, Wolfgang Candy Company and Hershey's Animated Chocolate World. Several meals are included in this package. (S-D on June 10 - 12)
