FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT'S FALLINGWATER (DMR0801) ~ Fallingwater, one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s most widely acclaimed works, was designed in 1936 for the family of Pittsburgh department store owner Edgar J. Kaufmann. This one-day tour features admissions to Fallingwater, tour of a candy company where the chocolate-covered pickle was invented for Mr. Heinz and a special luncheon. Note: Children (under 8 years of age) are not permitted into Fallingwater. Following the tour, enjoy a lunch in a Victorian brick home built in 1884. Then take a walk on the Courthouse Square which features an old fashioned Soda Shoppe and tours of the historic courthouse. Complete the tour with a Candy Factory Tour and your choice of a tour of Buhl Mansion (a castle built in the 1890's and former home of industrialist Frank Buhl) or shopping at the world's largest shoe store and the world's largest off-price women's designer fashion store.SNOOZE ON A CABOOSE TOUR (DFA0806) ~ The Caboose Motel is actually made up of rooms in restored cabooses which feature brass beds and full baths. Your group will spend one night in these train cars. The package also includes admissions to a music museum (where the owner actually plays most of the instruments), a scenic train ride (ride inside or on the open air gondola car), admissions to a museum with over 25 antique cars and more than 5000 miniature vehicles and antique toys and a stop to see the largest collection of signed Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows in the country. This package also includes one dinner, one breakfast and a box lunch aboard the train.
