The rolling hills, scenic valleys and flowing waters of Orange County, in southern Indiana, have long provided the perfect setting for visitors, with an abundance of towering timber, wildlife and natural shelters. Founded in 1811, the spring water was commercially marketed for medical benefits in 1840. By the latter half of the 19th century, French Lick was famous as a “spa town”. The French Lick Springs Resort was the focal point for most of the area’s entertainment and was the site where Franklin D. Roosevelt won his nomination for his run for president. Recently renovated with an investment approaching $400,000,000, the French Lick Resort (where we’ll be staying) and the West Baden Springs Hotel (the 8th Wonder of the World with a elegant atrium that’s 600 feet in circumference and 100 feet tall) bring back their original grandeur while incorporating the amenities expected in the 21st century!

This new package includes a boat cruise on scenic Potoka Lake with more than 27,000 acres of wildlife, a special luncheon at the historic Beechwood Inn (originally built in 1915 as the Beechwood Mansion with all its 20th century grandeur), a wine & dessert buffet at the French Lick Winery, a train ride through Hoosier National Park, with its limestone rock-cuts and the Barton Tunnel, a guided tour of the West Baden Springs Hotel, additional meals and time for gaming at the resort’s upscale casino.
